People are under this illusion that “Hitler tilted the regular swastika, changing the meaning…” and it’s not true. Before Hitler the swastika went each way, with tilt or no tilt. It was never seen as a meaning changing event to tilt the swastika or reverse it. In American advertising when the swastika was used, it was more or less how it looked.
